A loan of $400 helped to buy eight bags of fertilier, each of which costs 125 soles.

Clever's story

Clever, 22, lives with his family in a roughly-built house in a rural town in the Selva Central.
He started his farming business a year ago. His parents gave him a bit of land where he grows oranges and platanos. He only produced a small crop of oranges this year because part of his land had already been planted. "I'll be able to harvest platanos and more oranges next year", he says, "and then increase my production in following years". Clever is an optimistic, hard-working young man, confident that he can raise his production year after year, as his parents have done. He wants to build a house and start a family of his own.

This will be his first MFP loan and he is committed to repaying it in the agreed-upon time. He is a member of the Nuevo Amanecer de Huacamayo community bank and likes the idea of going to its meetings and joining its activities.
Clever will use this 1000 new soles loan to buy eight bags of fertilizers, each of which costs 125 soles.
