Roseline Mbain's story

She is married and happily blessed with three children and the entire family lives in a two-room house at New Lay Out, Nkwen, Bamenda, North West region of Cameroon.

Mama has been through some difficulties in her life, such as the death of her two brothers who were of great help to her. She again lost her mother's support due to an accident the mother had. Her daughter was raped and it has been a very traumatizing tale within her family. Lack of proper education and the healthcare needs of her family members are also issues, as is the lack of her adequate capital to start up a business and low incomes within the family. However this situation is being relieved with the joining of GHAPE which has been of great help to their family due to their social and basic life skills trainings.

This loan will be used for the purchase of bananas and fuel wood for retail within the community. This will help the community in the provision of fruits that is bananas thereby adding to their nutritional needs. The fuel wood is greatly going to assist the women who go for long distances in search of fuel wood, hence reducing the distance to the market or for its search. This business venture will succeed because of the high demand for fuel wood within the community. The profits of this loan will be used to provide proper education and healthcare for her family. She will also use it to renovate her house. And the rest of it will be put back into her business.
