A loan of $1,350 helped to purchase calves to rear and sell.

Irma's story

Irma is 37 years old and is married with two sons, 11 and 13 years old, both of whom go to school. She lives in the Sighnaghi district in a small village with her family that also includes her in-laws. Irma and her husband Gocha run the family agricultural business. They own a vineyard and a plot of land where they grow various vegetables such as tomato, pepper, and eggplant. They work hard on their land during the spring and summer seasons to get a good harvest. Irma and Gocha are busy with livestock as well, rearing cattle to sell at a profit. The total average monthly income of the family is 1,000 GEL.

Irma is requesting a loan to purchase additional calves to raise and sell later for a profit. Irma will reinvest her additional earnings to expand her agricultural enterprise to make it more profitable and improve the living conditions of her family.
