Chanthy's story

Chanthy, age 30, is a garment worker. Her husband, Tan, age 29, is a farmer and does construction work when he is not at the farm. They have been married since 2008 and have one son. The family lives in a suburb of Phnom Penh.

Chanthy is asking for a loan in the amount of $1,000 to supplement new pig farming business and to assist in her husband’s farming business by buying seed, fertilizer and pesticide.

With new pig farming business, Chanthy will be able to earn extra income from selling pigs when they are fully grown.
