A loan of $400 helped to buy another milk cow.

Felicita's story

Felicita is a very courageous 51-year-old woman. She lives in her parents' house together with her son, whom she cares for by herself.

As a good country woman, she works in agriculture and livestock. She sows her own agricultural fields, but her main economic income is centered around the production of milk. She has five well-bred cows, from which she gets milk every day to sell to a processing business. "It's one of the biggest in Peru. Thanks to my cows' production, I have daily income," she says. They produce an average of 36 liters of milk per day; it's not a fixed amount, as everything depends on the feed she gives them. She wishes to obtain more good quality cows to be able to produce more milk and thus earn more money.

Felicita belongs to the communal bank "Productores Huallhua," and this is her second loan with MFP. In this time, she has taken advantage of the money she received to improve her business. She promises to be punctual with her loan payments, and she likes working with her group because they all help each other.

Felicita will invest the money from this loan in the purchase of another milk cow.
