A loan of $775 helped to buy nursery coffee to replace the old plants, and bags of fertilizer.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 49 years old and has two sons who are 18 and 15 years old. Together, they live in a simple house they own, built in a native community in the central jungle.

She has been working in agriculture since she was young. Now she grows coffee in four plots and annattos in two. She prioritizes these products because she believes they are the most profitable. She also produces bananas and oranges, but the profits only help for some extras.

Due to her experience, she knows how and where to sell her production. She has contacts in some collection centers where she provides coffee and annattos immediately after the harvest. "I have no problems, it's been about six years with this routine and I do well", she says. Because she was doing well, three years ago she started to lease other lands to increase her production, and that's what she expects to keep doing in the next years.

This is her credit number seven with MFP. She is very loyal to the organization, so she is grateful for the help they have given her all these years. She is a member of the communal bank "Flor de Almendra" and she is happy to participate in a strong and responsible group.

Victoria will invest these 2,000 soles in buyin nursery coffee to replace the old plants, and she will also buy bags of fertilizer.
