Nohemy's story

Nohemy, 37, sells food and beverages in her house located in the municipality of Soledad where she lives with her spouse and three children whose ages range from 6 to 18 years. She has 12 years’ experience in this business since her parents helped her set it up initially in a kiosk where she sold soft-drinks, natural fruit juice and packaged goods like potatoes and snacks. At present, she’s added selling food for cash and on credit. Her schedule is from 5 in the morning until 10 at night.

She’s currently applying for loan #18 in Fundación Mario Santo Domingo because she needs to build a bedroom and bath to gradually organize her house because income from the business are earmarked for family expenses and for reinvestment. She says that the Fundación has helped her during 10 years and she trusts and is grateful to this organization and she’s sure that it will continue supporting her so that her house will have the best possible conditions and everyone in her family will have a comfortable environment because of the good way it will be organized in the future.
