Yorn's story

Yorn (pictured here), age 57, makes and sells typical Cambodian cake in front of a garment factory. Her husband, Sam Oeun, age 46, is a farmer and raises cows at home.

They live in a village about seventeen kilometers from Phnom Penh City and have four children, one son and three daughters. One is married and lives separately, two attend school, and another one assists in her mother’s business.

Yorn is applying for a loan in the amount of $1,200 to renovate the house where she lives.
