A loan of $275 helped to buy seasonal regional fruit.

Jorge Paolo's story

Jorge, 33, lives in the city of Pucallpa with his spouse and newborn baby. He is a very cheerful, hardworking, enthusiastic person who with his spouse dedicates all their efforts to moving their family forward. With much effort Jorge was able to study physical education. In his free time he likes to go out for walks along the warm and welcoming streets of his city and sometimes takes advantage of the opportunity to eat a delicious “Patarshca” which is a fish-based dish typical of his city.

With much dedication and enthusiasm Jorge works as a physical education teacher in a small school in his city. He works about 8 hours daily and feels good doing his work because he believes he does well because of the good way he does his work and the kind, respectful way he treats his pupils.

Jorge is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help provided he will be able to buy seasonal regional fruit like bananas, papayas and pineapples, among others. In this way Jorge hopes to be able to sell said fruit in his city’s central market to gradually start his small fruit selling business.
