Zoran, who lives in a Serbian community in Kosovo, is married and the father of two adult children. For more than 10 years, Zoran has been providing transportation services, the only source of income for his family. His business and client base are growing steadily, and he has a good reputation in the community.

Zoran's van recently broke down, and he is requesting his first loan from KosInvest to pay for the costs of a new engine and its installation. His goal is to expand his business, to buy another van and to employ his son.

Zoran hopes to stay in good health and to keep making his own living in order not to have to ask for help from others. He is very happy for this support!

More information about this loan

This loan will support the economic aspirations of minority people in Kosovo. Roma people and ethnic Serbians have historically faced a tremendous amount of hardship in Kosovo, and are still socioeconomically and politically vulnerable. During the 1998-1999 war, the fighting displaced 250,000 people. Among those displaced were an estimated 80-90% of the region’s Roma population. Today, Roma and ethnic Serbians living in Kosovo still face discrimination and are excluded from many aspects of society, including fair political representation and high rates of unemployment. By supporting this loan you are helping provide opportunity to marginalized populations.
