A loan of $1,100 helped a member to buy jugs of palm oil for resale.

Afepeb Group's story

The group AFEPEB consists of four members who all live in the same district. The group’s representative is Germain, seen with his hand raised in the photo. To bolster their working capital, the group is seeking financial assistance from ALIDé for the fourth time.

Germain, age 55, left school at the secondary level. He is married to a woman named Félicité, and the couple have five children who have all received schooling. Two of them are still in their care. Germain and his wife live together with their children, and the couple handle the various household responsibilities together.

To provide for himself and his family, Germain has been selling palm oil from his home for nearly 18 years. He buys his supplies in a region of Benin. As a secondary activity, he also runs a local farm.

This fourth loan will help Germain and the other members of the group AFEPEB to bolster their activities, expand their customer base and increase their revenue. All past loans were successfully repaid.

In this group: Germain, Félicité Agathe, Marcelline Théodora, Virginie Huguette Akoule
