A loan of $1,150 helped to buy manure and fertilizer.

Veronica Amalia's story

Verónica is a 36-year-old woman living in the city of Camaná with her spouse and two small children. She’s a very humble, kind, hardworking person who dedicated all her efforts into moving her family forward. Unfortunately, because she needed to work since she was very young to support her parents, she was unable to study a professional career but would have liked to do so very much. In her free time she enjoys watching movies with her little ones and sometimes cooks a delicious “Saltado de Carne” to share with her family.

With much effort and enthusiasm, Verónica works day to day as a field hand on a large agricultural estate. She also has a small parcel of land where she works in agriculture. She works about 12 hours daily and feels good doing her work.

Verónica is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to their support she will buy manure and fertilizer for her crop. She hopes to sell enough to increase her income that she’ll gradually use for her children’s education and wellbeing.
