A loan of $1,850 helped a member to buy fabrics for making and selling bedsheets.

Assé's Group's story

This group is composed of three women who live in the same city. They are together as one and energetic, and their main work involves commerce.

Ms. Thiané is the group's official. She is 35 years old, married, and the mother of four children. She has a business making and selling bedsheets and has good experience in it. In the photo, she is the one standing at the right and dressed in yellow with a shawl of the same color around her shoulders, and her right hand is raised.

She makes her purchases in Dakar each month, does the sewing, and resells her products in Louga.

With her loan, she envisions buying some fabrics at 40,000 francs a roll in order to increase her bedsheets for sale, so as to earn more income.

The profits obtained will enable her to pay the rent and ensure her children have school supplies.

In this group: Assé, Thiané, Coumba
