Kloeng is almost 46 years old, married, has two children and lives in a suburb of Phnom Penh.

He owns and operates a small grocery store serving breakfast and soft drinks including coffee, milk, lemon tea, and coke to people in his neighborhood. With this business, he earns enough for his daily expenses and is able to send one of his children to a good school. The other child is already married and lives independently.

Kloeng would like to renovate his grocery store to satisfy his customers and purchase more soft drinks to sell there. Kloeng is requesting a loan of USD 600 from HKL and Kiva. He believes that with the help of the loan, he will have more customers and thereby increase his store's income. In the future, Kloeng plans to continually expand this business. He wants to be a successful entrepreneur.
