A loan of $775 helped to buy merchandise such as t-shirts, dress-shirts, sweaters, pants and blouses.

Jhoanna Briggith's story

Jhoanna is a young woman of 20 years of age. She is single. She lives in the city of Ica, in the district of Pueblo with her little brother. Sadly, she lost her parents and since then she has been looking after her younger brother and puts all her efforts into trying to move forward with him. She is a very friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic person. Unfortunately because she has had to work to get by she has not been able to obtain a higher education, but she dreams of being able to do so.

With much hard work and dedication, day by day, Jhoanna works in her small business selling clothes. Very early in the morning she goes to the central market of her district where she makes her sales. Jhoanna feels happy carrying-on her work and believes that it is going well for her because of her good customer service.

Jhoanna is very grateful to the Kiva lenders since it is because of their help that she will be able to buy merchandise such as t-shirts, dress-shirts, sweaters, pants and blouses. In this way Jhoanna will have a better-stocked business, and hopes to increase her sales and improve her income, which she would like to use to secure the education and well-being of her little brother.
