Kim's Group's story

Being a responsible mother of six children, Kim is 41 years old. She needs to support her three sons as they are still in school. To overcome her family's hardships, she and her husband have been farming paddy rice on one hectare of land and raising animals (chickens and cows) for several years. She is able to earn about KHR 10,000 per day to meet her family’s needs. Kim is leading her group of six members, who live in the same village of the Kandal Stoeng district of Kandal province. They are applying for their first loan with VisionFund in the amount of KHR 160,000 each. She is going to use her portion to construct an above-the-ground shelter for her family's toilet. She hopes to improve the hygienic conditions of her family.
