A loan of $650 helped to buy various sacks of clothes for this winter season.

Maria's story

María, age 59, lives with her two children, Juan and Raquel, in a rented house.

She works at various business activities. On Mondays through Fridays she sells clothes door to door. She does not have a store or a specific place where she can be located. However, she also sells at fairs in the outlying cities. In the future she hopes to rent a space in a central area of the city.

On the week-ends she sells “mazamorra” (dessert) at a big fair in the city of Huancayo. As she knows that all effort is rewarded, she continues working without rest. She does this because she wishes to see her children become successful.

She belongs to the IDME communal bank. This is her 28th loan with MFP. In all of these years she was able to improve her business. She very wisely took advantage of the money. She pledges, once again, to make her payments.

She is pleased to be part of her group, where all of the members are supportive.

María will use the requested loan to buy various sacks of clothes for this winter season.
