A loan of $1,150 helped to buy sand, cement and other merchandise to stock her hardware store.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda is 54 years old. She has been married to Walter for 28 years. They have two children, Mabel and José.
She is the treasurer of her communal bank, because she always liked managing money. Because of this she now has a hardware store, which is well equioed and stocked. According to her, she opens her doors every day, without rest. But since she is a hardworking woman, she also sells food on Sundays from a space in her house. On his part, her husband rents out heavy machinery to state institutions and private construction firms. He receives monthly payments for this and from that pays for their children's university educations. Now she wants to stock her hardware store with all possible materials. "There are days when big buyers arrive and take cement and other materials in large quantities and I don't have enough stock." she affirms.

She belongs to the “IDME” communal bank and this is her 27th loan with MFP. Every year she has been able to improve her business, because she took advantage of the money in a very intelligent way. On the other hand, she promises, once again, to make her payments. She also likes being a part of the group, where the members are supportive. "We are a family", she affirms.

Yolanda will invest this money in buying sand, cement and other merchandise to stock her hardware store.
