Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Hasibun's story

Hasibun is 25 years old and lives in the Pachangpur, Kalaiya (Bara district) of Nepal. She is married and has three children.

She owns a sewing machine and tailors different types of clothes. She has a very good personal reputation within her community. Therefore, most of the women and girls come to her to tailor new clothes or mend and repair exiting clothes.

She is requesting a loan of NPR 30,000 to buy different kinds of cloth to sew a variety of women's clothing such as blouses and skirts to sell.

In the future, she hopes that her business will expand to support the needs of her family and to send her children to school.
