A loan of $350 helped to expand her grocery shop.

Rambha Devi's story

Rambha is 31 years old, married, and has four sons. They live in a small village called Pachanpur in the Bara district of Nepal.

Within their humble house, Rambha has set up a small grocery shop where she sells different types of products like rice, pulses (legumes), sugar, etc. She has proven her micro-entrepreneurial spirit by identifying that opportunity and taking action.

As a result of the success of her shop, she feels it is time to make certain changes to it. In particular, she wants to make the shop bigger and offer a wider range of products. Hence, she is taking a loan of NPR 30,000 to carry out this expansion. Her hard work and ability to put ideas into practice have paid off with a good reputation within her community.
