Aries, 33, lives with Luz and they have two grown children. They live in their own home in the community of Burgos, in Isabela province.

Aries is a very hardworking man. He farms two parcels of land, cultivating corn and rice. The Burgos area is highly sought after because the land and climate are very good for growing. Every year, Aries harvests 17,000 kilos, which he successfully sells in the city of Ilagan, Isabela.

Aries enjoys his work because he can be more independent and, most of all, because his income depends upon his own efforts. In order to facilitate his work, he hires people to help him plant his crops. Next month, Aries is planning to plant other products, such as vegetables, on land rented from neighbors or friends. He will be responsible for making his payments on time.

Aries will use the money from this loan to buy sacks of fertilizer and seeds to grow and to pay workers to clear and cultivate his lands.
