A loan of $1,300 helped to buy perfumes, accessories, cosmetics, and lotions.

Petita Angela's story

The La Sirena Group gets together every 15 days in the La Sirena neighborhood in the city of Manta. Manta is a city known for its beautiful beaches that attract a lot of tourists throughout the year, and for being a beautiful city unrivaled for its many tourist attractions.

Petita lives here. She is 33 years old, she is married, and she has three children that are 5, 11, and 8 years old. The two older children study in secondary school and the younger one in primary school. Her husband is a fish salesman.

In order to earn her own income and to help pay the education expenses of her children, she sells Avon and Lebel products (beauty products such as cosmetics, perfume, and accessories for women.) She sells door-to-door and she works every day for about two hours per day. She sells her products on credit and charges her customers weekly or bi-weekly, depending on what they prefer. She has done this work for more than four years and it has gone very well. Most of her sales are from the cosmetics and perfumes.

She will use this loan to buy perfumes, accessories, cosmetics, and lotions. She has belonged to the Community Bank for the past six loan cycles and she likes the benefits and other loans that the bank has offered to her.

Her dream is to have her own home because her current home is leased.
