A loan of $1,000 helped to buy natural products, clothing, perfumes, costume jewelry, cosmetics, and lotions.

Ana Rosa's story

The “Mujeres Triunfadoras” communal bank meets every 15 days in the La Pradera neighborhood in the city of Manta. Manta is known for its beautiful beaches, which are very popular in all seasons of the year. It is also known for being a town of incomparable beauty with many tourist attractions.

This is where Ana lives. She is 37 years old and divorced. She has a daughter who is 12 years old and who is studying in high school. Ana has been with her communal bank for four loan cycles and she likes it because of the assistance and benefits that the institute has provided.

In order to provide for her daughter, she sells clothing, natural products, and Avon products (beauty supplies, cosmetics, perfume, and accessories for women). She works three days per week, usually in the mornings because that’s when it’s easiest for her to make her rounds. Her sales are door-to-door. She sells on credit and then collects her money every 15 days. She has been doing this for five years and it has gone very well for her. This is how she is able to provide for her daughter and for herself.

She will use this loan to buy natural products, clothing, perfumes, costume jewelry, cosmetics, and lotions.

Her dream is for her daughter to be a successful professional and that is why she works hard every day.
