Ryskul's story

Ryskul is 33 years old, married and has two children, who are nine and eleven years old. She works as a librarian at a school and, to provide an additional source of income for the family, is involved in animal husbandry. The business, started in 1998 with an initial sum of 8,000 som (KGS), today contains ten sheep and one dairy cow with offspring, and yields a profit of about 10,000 som (KGS) per month. In order to further develop her business, Ryskul requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy bulls for fattening up. She plans to invest the earnings into a continued expansion of her business by buying livestock.
