A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase sheep.

Urulkan's story

Urulkan is 57 years old and raised two children. To provide a source of income for the family, she is involved in animal husbandry. The business, started in 1995 with an initial sum of 5,000 som (KGS), today contains one dairy cow and ten ewes. The earnings from the business helped Urulkan to open a small food store, and her monthly profit amounts to about 10,000 som (KGS). In order to further develop her business, Urulkan requested a loan in the amount of 47,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy sheep. She plans to invest the earnings into a continued expansion of her business by building a barn and also wants to repair her home.
