A loan of $2,125 helped to purchase two dairy cows.

Sabira's story

Sabira is 62 years old. Despite being retired, she is a very active and energetic woman. To provide a source of income for the family, Sabira is involved in animal husbandry. The business, started 35 years ago with an initial sum of 5,000 som (KGS), today contains a dairy cow with offspring and four ewes, and yields about 11,000 som (KGS) per month from sales of milk and dairy products. Sabira also works on 2.30 hectares of land, growing potatoes and cereal crops. In order to further develop her business, Sabira requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy two dairy cows. She plans to invest the earnings partially into a continued expansion of her business and partially into helping her son to build a house.
