A loan of $575 helped to buy winter jackets to fill her orders.

Elena's story

Elena is 53 years old. With her husband Víctor she has four children. Now she only lives with one of them, Johana, who is already working independently. She owns the house she lives in, which they bought 7 years ago.

The activity she does is selling beauty products. She offers her products via catalogue and with samples that she has available for her customers. She does a lot of visiting. She also sells clothing, especially imported clothing, “to the customers who like to dress for the season. They like to have a unique item of clothing", she affirms. For example, she sells jackets, coats, shawls, hats. In summer she sells t-shirts, dresses, pants, shorts and more. She has had this business for 10 years and it is profitable. That is why she has decided to increase her sales, offering more and better products.

She belongs to the “Mujeres Unidas” [United Women] group and this is her fifth loan with MFP. She feels satisfied with her work, because thanks to the money she has asked for she can increase her merchandise. She is also a hardworking woman, and she was able to gain more customers thanks to the teachings she received in her group.

Elena will invest this money in buying jackets for the winter season, because she already has a lot of orders.
