A loan of $1,150 helped to pay for the formalities of obtaining and renewing the permits and licenses to drive her automobile.

Celina's story

Celina is 37 years old. For the past year she has lived in a rented house with her husband, Fortunato, and their three children, whom they care for with great affection.

Her main business is transportation. Her husband acquired his own car with which he has been working for six months carrying passengers who want to go to a specific town, which is where they have the house they own. His work is very hard since some days he has to make several trips that last hours: “I have to help him, especially on Fridays, market days, when the inhabitants go down to the city.” she states. She also works taking care of an elderly women in the city, where she rented the house a short while ago because that is also where their children attend school. Now she wants to finalize the permits for their auto so she can work with her husband and she also wants to buy another car and thus increase their earnings.

This is her sixth loan from MFP and during this time she was able to make good use of the development opportunities offered her since she had the necessary capital, thanks to these loans. Consequently she promises to be punctual in making her payments. This time Celina will invest in paying for the formalities involved in driving their automobile, as the driver’s license has expired, and the rest of the permits for transporting passengers.
