A loan of $775 helped to buy a metal roll-up door to protect her store.

Marleny's story

Marleny is 32 years old and has been married to her husband Pedro for 13 years. They have three children named Gina, Mayumi and Jeri. Her greatest hope is to see her children fulfill their dreams. To this end, thanks to the support of her husband, who works in a mine, she was able to open a small store in her home. From this store she sells not only groceries, but also many types of cooking accessories. She has even refurbished hardware items. "In my store you can find everything", she reports. Her main goal is to have a supermarket, where everything is prepared and sold. Apart from this, she raises guinea pigs. She already has 70 animals, which she is fattening for resale. She belongs to the supportive group “Hualahoyo al progreso” , and this is her 19th loan with MFP. In all these years of intense work and dedication she has obtained good results in her business endeavors. She promises to be punctual with the repayment of her loan. In every group meeting, personal responsibility is encouraged. Marleny will use the loan funds to buy a metal roll-up door to protect her store.
