A loan of $700 helped to buy corn seeds, beans, fertilizer, insecticide and tools.

Elena's story

Elena is 69 years old and lives with her grandson. She works cultivating basic grains, specifically corn and beans. She has been working in agriculture for many years, and her significant experience allows her to obtain good harvests and remain ahead of the competition. The land that she works is leased and located in an easily accessible area close to the highway. She sells her products in the areas surrounding her community, and she has many loyal clients who prefer to work with her for her low prices and good service.

Elena is very hardworking, energetic, and responsible. She enjoys fighting for her dreams and she would never dream of giving up before reaching them. This planting season she would like to improve her earnings, but she needs investment capital in order to buy the inputs she needs. She is asking for a loan from Apoyo Integral to buy corn seeds, beans, fertilizer, insecticide and other tools. Elena has good references and is certain that she will be able to repay her debt, at the same time giving her family a better life.
