Señor De Exaltación Ii Group's story

“Señor de Exaltacion II” Community Bank will start its third cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Achacachi Community Center. It is composed of ten members and is led by a Board of Directors headed by Maritza. The members engage in different economic activities, such as selling vegetable, selling fruits, selling soft drinks, selling hats, selling custard-apples and selling ice-creams.

Maritza is one of the micro entrepreneurs forming this group, and she will benefit from the requested loan. Maritza says she has been a member of Pro Mujer for three years, and that she has been invited to enter by one of the promoters of this institution who went to her house to invite her. She currently sells jewels, an activity she stared a few years ago out of her own initiative.

The loan she is currently requesting will be used to increase her working capital by buying jewels. She will buy them from supplying companies in La Paz to the sell them in her community. She is single, and this type of activity allows her to support her parents as much as she can and support herself economically, since she is single.

When asked about it, she says that the seminars on health and the loans are what she likes the most of Pro Mujer.

In this group: Maritza, Lothar, Elizabeth Concepción, Sandra, Juana Elena , Jacoba , Luis , Estela , Jaime , Pastora
