Vandy's Group's story

Vandy is a 42-year-old married father of two children, one daughter and one son, both of whom are still dependent on him and they are still in school. To make a living, he works as a security guard in market, located in a local area and his wife runs a small food stall in the village. Together, they are able to save about 20,000 KHR per day after all expenses. Vandy’s group consists of two members; both are the third loan cycled clients. He has managed to successfully use the past two loans to attain a standard of living better than before and increase family's income. Now, he and his group member are seeking for a new loan in amount of 1,000 USD each. He, as the group leader, will use his loan portion to buy a motorbike as a means of transportation to support his wife's business better. With this loan, he hopes to own a motorbike in order to save his traveling time to better support his family's current business and use his spare time to better care for his children.
