A loan of $400 helped to buy animal feed and to repair corrals.

Norma Lidia's story

Norma, 31, lives with her spouse and three children in her own house; her husband is an agricultural day laborer working in neighboring parcels. Between the two of them they work very hard striving to get ahead together. They live in a rural zone of Tambogrande District in north Perú. Her small community already has some basic utilities like electricity. She works raising pigs and barnyard fowl; it’s her main activity and she currently owns 12 pigs. The two spouses share work; they help each other out. She’s been raising animals for approximately 10 years. She’s asking for a loan to buy nutritionally balanced animal feed and to repair the corrals. She has the required skills to feed the animals properly. She has vast experience in the business and is well-known in the zone.
