A loan of $1,600 helped to stock up on ingredients for selling food.

Mario Alberto's story

Mario is requesting the loan to buy raw materials such as disposable items and barbecued meat to prepare menudo, as well as to fix up the vehicle in which he gets around. He comments that the sales for the last few months haven't been very good, so he's requesting the loan to stock up on the necessary merchandise and to be able to include another dish to offer to his customers besides barbecued meat and menudo.

He has worked selling food for more than six years. In addition, he's the pastor of a Pentecostal church, from which he also receives a monthly income. His wife Norma has worked for several years cleaning houses in Laredo, Texas. They have a school-aged son, and with Mario's income they pay for his school expenses and support as well as for the other family expenses.
