A loan of $2,500 helped a member to purchase thread and traditional fabrics.

Eben-Ezer Paxot Ii Group's story

Sra. Sebastiana is a widow, 54 years old, who never had the opportunity to attend school. She has 6 children, two of whom are in school. She makes and sells traditional clothing, specifically “guipiles y cortes” (blouses and skirts). She started this business with her mother and has had 25 years of experience, so far.

She is organizing a group to apply for a loan that can be used to purchase different colored thread and traditional fabrics for the production and repair of traditional blouses and then sell them. In the future, she hopes to have a worker to help her deliver her finished products and another person to help make the blouses and skirts. The rest of the members of the group are also engaged in handicrafts, specifically weaving.
