A loan of $1,675 helped a member to buy.

Agua Marina Group's story

The communal bank "Agua Marina" will start its eleventh cycle in Pro Mujer, as part of Centro Focal de Collpani. It is made up of six members and is led by a board of directors where Ms. Maxima is the president. The businesses run by the members of the communal bank are varied: braided blankets, selling mirrors, sewing of sportswear, and selling of cookies.

The loan they will take out will benefit small businesswomen, of which Ms. Maxima is a member. She says it has been two years since she joined Pro Mujer, joining by invitation of a friend who is a member of the institution. Currently she has a business selling cookies wholesale, which she has had for several years, being that it's her own initiative for improvement.

The loan she will take out now is to increase capital to buy cookies that she will buy from the distributing factory and later sell in the city of Cochabamba. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family as much as possible, since she is married and has three children. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the health area.
