A loan of $575 helped to buy various fruits, purple corn, sugar, and other supplies.

Guillermina's story

Guillermina is a member of the Communal Bank “Las Gaviotas” (The Seagulls). She is 52 years old, married, and the mother of five children. Guillermina has been a member of FINCA Peru for six years and earns her living by selling “chicha morada” (a traditional beverage made from purple corn), loquat juice, and various other beverages. Throughout the entire time that she has been a member of FINCA Peru, Guillermina has greatly enjoyed the training sessions that have been provided through her Communal Bank, especially the lectures on savings and the importance of valuing oneself as a woman.

Her dream for the future is to make progress alongside her family. The loan she is requesting will be invested in the purchase of necessary ingredients for preparing her products such as various fruits, purple corn, sugar, and other items.
