A loan of $3,150 helped a member to buy stocks such as kerosene and wheatflour for her shop.

Comfort Group's story

Flora, who is in her late 20s, is married with one child who goes to school. She has had a retail shop for four years now. She works from 6am to 10pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be her first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania, which she wants to use to buy kerosene, wheatflour and other items to sell in her shop. Her dream is to one day be able to start selling chips.

Flora will share this loan with her loan group, Comfort, with 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
