A loan of $200 helped to buy bags of rice, cans of oil and buckets of groundnuts.

Anne Marie's story

Anne Marie is a 37-year-old woman and the mother of 3 children aged between 5 and 16, all of whom currently go to school. She has been running a restaurant for 2 years already. She most often buys the ingredients for her restaurant (rice, oil, fish, meat, groundnuts and drinks) retail, and is requesting this loan so that she can increase her stock of ingredients by buying them wholesale; buying bags of rice, cans of oil and buckets of groundnuts will not only allow her to satisfy her already growing customer clientèle, but also to earn higher profits, which will enable her to meet some of her daily needs, to save for her children's education and, over time, to expand her restaurant by reinvesting in her business.
