A loan of $1,150 helped to buy 15 sacks of potato seeds and bags of fertilizer.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 50 years old. She is married to Gerardo, with whom she has six children but now they live with only three of the children. She makes a living in agriculture, with the planting of potatoes, broad beans and peas. “This time I plan to plant the “Yungay” potato, because it is one of the most requested,” she mentions. This month she begins the planting and for that she needs the support in order to continue with her growth. She also sells beef, lamb, pork, etc. And as in her area there isn’t much vehicle traffic she has to acquire her merchandise from the city in order to do business with it in two days. But this month she is giving priority to the cultivation of potatoes.

She belongs to the communal bank “Punray avanzando” and this is her tenth loan with MFP. She promises to be punctual in the payment of the installments. She also mentions that she likes her group because they all share the same interests. Victoria will invest this money in the purchase of 15 sacks of potato seeds and the rest will be to purchase bags of fertilizer.
