A loan of $1,150 helped to buy potato and pea seeds as well as 10 bags of fertilizer.

Dorotea's story

Dorotea is 51 years old and has 9 children, and now she lives alone with 5 of them.

She has worked in agriculture since she was 22 years old. Her children, since they were old enough to help her, have done that without hesitation. She grows peas and potatoes in her two hectares of land which she got after several years of work. In order to sell each harvest she has loyal customers in the city. But because the responsibility of supporting her children alone is too much, she also sells cheese products. Her days are busy with work, but she's used to that pace. Now she's starting the planting season, and she's not thinking of anything else.

She belongs to the bank "Punray avanzado," and this is her 10th loan with MFP who she thanks for this opportunity and promises to be punctual in the repayment of her loan like she was with previous loans. The 300 soles that she needs now are to buy potato and pea seeds as well as 10 bags of fertilizer.
