A loan of $525 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Reina Isabel's story

Reina, 47, is a single mother; she has three children and lives in the town of Omoa, Cortes, with her children. She has her own home-based grocery store, a business she established 7 years ago that produces income needed for her family’s sustenance. She sells rice, beans, lard, bread, eggs, cured meats, soft-drinks, candy and even some cosmetics. She has already managed loans to keep the business stable. The one she’s asking for now is loan #9 and it’s for 10,000 lempiras that she’ll use to stock the store with more food items. Her goal is to keep the business stable and give her family a better quality of life.
