The group DON DE DIEU (gift from God) consists of fifteen members who all live in the same neighborhood. This is the group’s first time seeking financial assistance from ALIDé to bolster their activity.

The group’s representative is Ayaba Marthe, seen with her hand raised in the photo. Ayaba Marthe, age 41, lives in Benin. She never attended school. She is married to a man named Célestin. The couple have five dependent children, four of them being their own. Ayaba Marthe lives with her husband and their children, and the couple handle the various household responsibilities together. To that end, Ayaba Marthe sells food products, liqueurs, charcoal and cosmetic products from her home. She buys her stock locally and in a city of Benin.

To achieve customer satisfaction and to increase her sales and revenue, Ayaba Marthe and the other members of the group DON DE DIEU are seeking a first loan from ALIDé. This loan will help them to bolster their activity and boost their profits.
Le groupement DON DE DIEU est composé de quinze personnes qui résident dans le même quartier. C'est la première fois que ce groupement sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de son activité. La représentante du groupe, du nom de Ayaba Marthe est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Ayaba Marthe est âgée de 41 ans et vit au Bénin. Ayaba Marthe n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Ayaba Marthe est mariée à un certain Célestin. Le couple a cinq enfants à leur charge. Parmi les enfants, quatre sont leurs propres enfants. Ayaba Marthe vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants et assure ensemble avec son mari les charges de la maison. Afin d’assurer les diverses charges de la famille, Ayaba Marthe vend des produits vivriers, des liqueurs, du charbon de bois et des produits cosmétiques à son domicile. Ayaba Marthe s’approvisionne dans sa région et dans une ville du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Ayaba Marthe sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupement DON DE DIEU, un premier crédit auprès de ALIDé. Ce prêt leur permettra certainement à hausser le niveau de leurs activités et à se faire plus de profits.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
