Dúo Luchadoras De Chajones Group
In this Group: Oralia De Los Angeles , Toribia
Two Fighting Women of Chajones. This duo was formed by Doña Oralia de los Angeles. She is the leader of this group and tells us that she has one son and is married. She has had a little shop and stationery store for a number of years. She also sells children's clothing near her house. She tells us that she is applying for this loan because she needs to stock her business a little more, since the three businesses that she has have been very successful, because there are no nearby stores in the sector where she is, so the people ask for Doña Oralia's products a lot. In addition, she sells fruits and vegetables. The women don't have to go to the market since it suits them better to buy from her. She hopes that she can be helped because she really needs it.

About FAPE

FAPE, the Foundation for the Assistance of Small Businesses, is a nonprofit, socially-minded institution that provides loans to micro-entrepreneurs across Guatemala.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
