Ekua is married and has five children. She has received a basic education (primary school). Ekua sells doughnuts in Brenu Akyimu, near Elmina, which she has done for ten years now. Her husband is a farmer. Ekua uses her income to pay her children's school fees. Ekua will use the loan to purchase eggs, sugar, and flour for cooking her doughnuts. With the new profits, Ekua plans to support her children's education.
