The group's representative, Ayaba Rosalie, is the one will her hand raised in the picture. She is 59 years old and a widow. She left school at primary level. Ayaba Rosalie is the mother of 6 children, some of whom are educated and all of whom live independently. Ayaba Rosalie lives alone and takes care of her various needs. In order to be able to do this, she has been selling various products (vegetable oil and biscuits) for 15 years from her home. She gets her supplies at a market in Benin.

With a view to satisfying her customers and in order to increase her turnover and revenue, Ayaba Rosalie is requesting a first loan from ALIDé, together with the other members of the Noudele group.
Le groupe NOUDELE est composé de trois personnes qui résident dans la même maison. C'est la première fois que ce groupe sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de son activité. La représentante du groupe, du nom de Ayaba Rosalie est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Ayaba Rosalie est âgée de 59 ans et est une veuve. Ayaba Rosalie a arrêté l’école au niveau primaire. Ayaba Rosalie est mère de six enfants, dont certains scolarisés et aucun ne vit plus à sa charge. Ayaba Rosalie vit et assure seule ses différents besoins. Pour parvenir à ses différents besoins, Ayaba Rosalie vend depuis quinze ans divers produits (huile végétale et biscuits) à son domicile. Ayaba Rosalie s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Ayaba Rosalie sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe NOUDELE, un premier crédit auprès de ALIDé.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
