A loan of $1,250 helped to buy tables and chairs for the cafe.

Albert's story

Albert lives in the Malindi area of Coast Province, Kenya. He has three children, all of whom attend school. Albert has owned and operated a food cafe for two years. He also earns a salary from a butchery he owns.

Albert learned about Milango through friends who invited him to the group. He joined with the aim of accessing credit to improve his business operations. Albert's main challenges are theft from employees, price fluctuations and inflation.

Albert is applying for a loan of 104,800 Kenya shillings to buy tables and chairs for the cafe. His extra income from the loan will be added to his savings to educate his children, to buy basic needs and to improve his family's living standards. Albert's dream is to open more food cafes in other areas.
