A loan of $850 helped to buy fish and cheese, wholesale.

Javier Gregorio's story

Javier is 23 years old and found himself selling fish and cheese as an alternative means of income to help support the household as his mother was widowed two years ago. Every two days he goes to a port located 2 hours from the city. He buys and distributes fish to his customers who have pre-purchased it. His principal customers are neighbors in his area and those referred from other areas whom he has been able to convert into regulars owing to the freshness of his product.

Javier has also started selling cheese and he distributes it to both stores and families who buy it by the kilo. As his customer base gets to know the quality of these products they place more orders, but his working capital is the first obstacle to overcome. He doesn't have enough to cover "the entire amount that may be ordered," and this is the reason why he went to CrediKiva. This is his first financing, made by the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which he will buy fish and cheese wholesale. With his CrediKiva he'll increase his working capital and with it his sales volume, in order to bring greater well-being to his family as, in the end, this is his most main goal.
