Gertrude's Group's story

Gertrude is the leader of a group of two who are taking out a joint loan. At age 44, she is married and the mother of five children, three of whom still attend school. She has one domestic helper in her care and she has been selling liquor, canned goods, pasta and oil for several years. She gets her supplies in one of the markets in her area. In the interest of increasing her turnover and to meet the demands of her customers, she has applied for a micro loan from Finadev in order to maximize her supplemental income and to contribute to the education of her children. She would like to grow her business and to have access to drinking water in Bénin. Gertrude is to the left in the photo.
