A loan of $1,100 helped to buy hair dye, perm solutions and cosmetics.

Norma Delia's story

The communal bank Proyección 2000 meets twice a month in the beautiful city of Portoviejo, capital of Manabí, surrounded by marvelous beaches and warm and pleasant weather, with beautiful women struggling day to day trying to bring up their families.

Norma lives here. She is 50 years old and has a cohabitation relationship from which she has two children who are adults, one of them still living at home. Her husband is a radio technician.

Our friend trained in beauty some years ago in an academy in this city and achieved her beauty license, obtaining her own income and through this helping her husband with the household expenses and the school expenses for her children. Some years ago she outfitted a beauty salon in her home, where she performs lots of jobs such as hair coloring, haircuts, manicures, and more. She works daily from 8:00AM until 8:00PM and sometimes later if her customers require her services. She also sells beauty products. She has been in the business for more than 28 years which has served to provide a good education to her children.

She is going to use this loan to buy hair dye, perm solutions and cosmetics that she will sell in her salon. She has been with the communal bank since the beginning and she likes it because of the help and benefits that she receives from the bank.

Her dream is to succeed in her work.
